What is this??

John Dickson brought home some interesting artwork yesterday. Sometimes "his" art doesn't really look like it is supposed to be anything in particular, but yesterday's was definitely something. I stared at it for a minute, turned it every which way, and then finally had to ask his teacher... "umm... what is this?" I think once you know, you'll say "oooh, I see... kind of," but I'm really curious to see if anyone can figure it out. Leave a comment, let me know what you think!
